Pretty pictures are easy. Hiding behind best practices and following worn paths is even easier (and common). Conversely, developing creative works that are new and meaningful is hard. It requires extensive research, thorough distillation to identify strategic opportunities, all while removing most preconceived notions. The end-goal is to embrace the unknown (and the inherent risks in doing so) to create more meaningful work that resonates with consumers.
This is best achieved when empowered to broadly explore creative latitudes and find the right solution, not necessarily the expected one. The goal is to craft work that is equally performant as it is distinctly unique. This tends not to just spontaneously happen or in isolation, so it’s imperative to create cross-functional alignment through regular, open, and honest conversation to adequately establish expectations in all directions.
Shop products created as a by-product of free-form creative expression, or tools I’ve made to augment/ facilitate that creative expression in some way.
JW.S also exist somewhere in the realm of brand creative partner, and abrand of it's own. While not working on developing other's brands/products, we focus on our own as a means to expand our abilities.
I finally launched my first product via kickstarter– a deck of premium playing cards, combining Midjourney's take on Japanese Ukiyo-e style art with modern design, to tell the story of hangyaku samurai.

Been chipping away at the type spec as I have time between other projects. I've made peace with the fact that its going to be slow going, but I'm happy to leverage MidJourney for some additional spice.

I still don't know what it all means for the creative work flow, but I've been exploring some of my favorite subject matters (a penchant for skulls and gold.. yea, I dunno either). Bringing into PS for some touch-up/compositing...

Like a lot of other people, I'm on the Mid Journey bandwagon. I think this is going to change a LOT about creative work-flows, licensing images, concept art... Yea, its cool but also pretty worrisome what it's able to do.
